The Berkshire Pottery was founded in 1960 by Gertraud & Martin Stosiek on an old 19th century dairy farm. With ample space for a workshop, storage, and a showroom, the New England barn proved to be an ideal location to set up and run a pottery.
Today, youngest daughter Erika, along with her husband now run the business her parents started a half century ago. Erika has come up with numerous designs of her own over the years, many of which have become some of our most sought after.
Oldest brother Martin Jr. runs an organic vegetable farm on the land that was included with the original farm, and is always there to help with our production in the winter months.
We have always been a family oriented business, and continue the tradition today. Family always lends a hand when needed, and with many nieces and nephews nearby showing an interest, the practice is sure to continue.
